I believe that you will be holding J1 Visa, am I right?
By laws, J1 Visa holder must have valid health insurance with a restricted coverage depends upon who provides you an internship.
Is that 460 USD monthly? I guess not.... as you addressed about a year long....
If it is annually paid, it is much cheaper than what I have paid which is about 4000 USD a year (Premium Plan).
Anyway, you will get what you pay.... In this case, your co-pay might be high as well as other medical bills.
Lots of my friends wan to pay cheap for health insurance, however, most of the time they will find hard time to pay off the bills.... especially those ER bills.
I suggest that you should learn more about co-pay and how much your insurance provider will cover for you. What will be the ultimate portions for you to pay in particular treatment also.
